Human Resources Intern

Job Description:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Internship working on administrative and HR related tasks. This position is non-exempt with 25 to 29 hours per week.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Update absence records
2. Filing of HR and training documents
3. Post job advertisements to job boards and close after positions are filled
4. Screening resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates to fill vacancies
5. Initiate background checks, physicals, and drug screens
6. Coordinate new hire orientation paperwork
7. Other duties as assigned

Profile:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and enrolled in a university working toward a 4-year degree in Human Resource Management and completed at least 90 hours toward the degree.

• Experience working in an office environment

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to expand and improve problem solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Preferably able to handle items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be currently eligible/authorized to work in the United States.
