Planning & Logistics Manager
Job Description:
*This is a safety sensitive position.
The Planning and Logistics Manager oversees production scheduling, warehouse operations, purchasing and inventory control. They bridge the gap between sales forecasts and shop floor execution, managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and coordinating teams to ensure the timely, cost-effective delivery of products while maintaining optimal stock levels.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Planning team to plan, organize, and coordinate site master planning activities:
-Develop and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align manufacturing capacity with sales forecasts and customer demand.
-Oversee and optimize the complete flow of material and information through the site, from raw material purchasing to shipment of assemblies
-Ensure coherence, correctness and maintenance of all master data in the MRP system
-Identify bottlenecks and intervene where needed
-Challenge production, identify and reveal opportunities for improvement to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize WIP and stock levels
-Implement and monitor flow and other lean production principles
-Facilitate the Sales & Operations Planning process, including demand review, supply review, and executive alignment. –
-Ensure production plans, material strategies, and capacity models support customer forecasts, backlog, and strategic business objectives.
- Manage site and intercompany order management activities:
-Delivery coordination to end customers and other Asco sites
-Manufacturing Order Management
-Purchase Order Management
-Setup & Training in Procedures / Mapics
-Implementation of related industrial applications
-Manage and mentor planning and supply chain personnel
-Monitor and report critical metrics like on-time delivery, backorder and inventory
- Manage the Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing activities:
-Implementation of the 6S, physical flows & visual management tools
-Setup & Training in Procedures / Mapics
-Manage and mentor shipping and receiving personnel
Profile:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business plus 5-10 years’ work experience, including at least two years in Master Planning preferred
Skills / Experience:
- Advanced understanding of ERP concepts
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple issues at a time.
- Must possess the ability to plan and organize complex activities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.
- APICS certification desirable.
- Good knowledge of AS9100, a plus
- Result oriented

- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Work well across all business functions.

- Must be currently able to work in the United States
