Supplier Operations Management
Job Description:
Manage efficiently supply risks, resourcing and supplier development in line with the company and customer requirements by providing the standard tools, systems and work processes for efficient and accurate use over all ASCO sites and build long term relationships and development with strategic suppliers using one voice to supplier from the different Operational Units and plants.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Escalation
- Visualize and quantify supply risks, draw action plans for supply improvement, in line with production and customer expectations and build recovery plans and counter measures for supply risk elimination and coordinate actions with internal experts (Buyers, SQA, Logistics, etc.)
- Root cause analysis for supply issues
- Draw the recovery plan with adequate priorities for Asco group
- Communicate the action plan and status internally and externally
- Supplier performance measurement and follow-up
- Perform Supplier performance assessment to identify (non) tangible risks and opportunities for supplier development.
- Perform supplier audits (logistics, security, capacity and quality)
- Compile audit reports and corrective action lists
- Build supply chain dossier containing manufacturing process, lead times and supply risks in order to build supplier knowledge and history
- Perform capacity and risk assessment of suppliers
- Coordinate Supplier (re)sourcing activities
- Assess and evaluate manufacturing and logistic process of potential new suppliers in supplier selection phase in order to achieve successful transfer of work.
- Perform manufacturing and logistic audits at potential new suppliers; provide capacity calculation and risk assessment
- Compile audit reports and subsequent evaluation reports
- Follow-up on the actions from audits
- Define clear transfer plan and milestones
- Establish with suppliers and subcontractors the process of starting-up or phase out of manufacturing and deliveries of new/old parts
- Monitor and manage logistic performance during the start-up and build out phase
- Supplier Development
- Continuously develop the performance of the strategic suppliers nominated on management level for mutual company benefits and added value plans
- Identify improvement potential at suppliers, in areas such as reduction of lead time, costs and supply/capacity risks
- Develop specific (non)/ tangible target oriented continuous improvement plans
- Implement and follow-up the continuous improvement programs (LEP – logistics excellence program) in co-operation with the buyer, logistic coordinator and SQA
- Standardization of Supply Chain tools, reports and systems
- Implementation of new IT related systems, reports and tools in order to improve the assessment and facilitate accurate decision making on Supply chain subjects, automate manual non added value operations.
- Lead and support Supply Chain business requirement analysis to final operational integration.
- Initiate proposals for standardization
- Ensure creation of relevant procedures and training material
Profile:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering or Logistics.
Skills / Experience:
- A minimum of 2 Years’ experience in industrial manufacturing procurement.
- Supplier Quality or Procurement experience, a plus
- Knowledge in logistics (stocking, demand and supply principles, lead times, risk management, etc.) and lean manufacturing processes (i.e. project, change management basics, continuous improvement, value stream mapping) required.
- Must be familiar with ERP system and production planning process
- Proficient computer skills required (Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP)
- Well-developed analytical skills required.
- Sensitive to commercial aspects
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; capable to interact with Supplier Senior Management
- Good team-player

- Open to travel frequently
- Must be currently eligible to work in the United States
